Abstract

Последняя монография Олега Хлевнюка затрагивает проблематику повседневного функционирования советского государства в позднесталинское время, особенно сосредотачиваясь на феномене теневой экономики и коррупционных практиках. Это кропотливое исследование необычного и парадоксального явления – масштабной самозванческой структуры, вполне успешно действовавшей в течение четырех лет под видом государственного строительного ведомства в репрессивном и, казалось бы, вездесущем государстве с его бюрократически контролируемыми общественной и экономической системами.
