Abstract

Экономическая история – традиционный и почтенный жанр историописания. Если советская историография концентрировалась преимущественно на статистике, данных и показателях экономического развития, то в центре современных исследований находятся культурная и политическая история экономических институтов (Антонов 2016; Осокина 2022). Экономика per se рассматривается как социальная, культурная или политическая практика, высвечивающая новые и порой неожиданные явления в обществе. Книга Анны Сафроновой «Блеск и нищета российской кооперации: как народ приучали к современности, 1860–1930» – яркий пример такого подхода к изучению экономического и социального развития России. Монография посвящена истории кооперативного движения в Российской империи и СССР.
