Abstract

Книга английского историка искусств Майка O'Махоуни представляет собой междисциплинарное исследование развития спорта в СССР. Возможно, О'Махоуни уже известен некоторым читателям по своим публикациям о Сергее Эйзенштейне и об американском искусстве, а также по визуальным исследованиям Олимпийского движения. В книге «Спорт в СССР» искусствоведческий подход сочетается с культуральными исследованиями, советологией и социальной историей спорта.
