Abstract

Одна из наиболее влиятельных книг по гендерной социологии XX века – «Гендер и власть» Рэйвин (Роберт) Коннелл – переведена на русский язык. Коннелл –профессор в университете Сиднея, автор широко известных работ в области гендерных исследований и социологии маскулинности. В последние годы в области ее внимания находятся вопросы глобальных изменений гендерного порядка. Перевод книги, сделанный Татьяной Барчуновой при участии Ирины Тартаковской и Ольги Ечевской, согласно примечаниям и личному комментарию переводчика, осуществлялся при постоянном взаимодействии с автором и специалистами в соответствующих областях. Высокое качество перевода делает книгу не только доступной, но и привлекательной для чтения.
