Abstract

Волей случая книга Алексис Пери «Война изнутри: Дневники из блокадного Ленинграда» стала известна публике задолго до ее публикации. Тенденциозный взгляд журналиста британской газеты Guardian, выбравшего для иллюстрации исследования Пери наиболее броские и провоцирующие цитаты из блокадных дневников и весьма одиозно и поверхностно их интерпретировавшего, обернулся для автора монографии незаслуженными обвинениями и скандальной реакцией на еще не опубликованную работу в российских СМИ. Разразившийся скандал соответствовал «лучшим традициям» Холодной войны: на автора монографии посыпались обвинения со стороны российских политиков и общественных деятелей, книгу хотели запретить в России и сделали символом предвзятого взгляда западной славистики на советскую историю.
