Гендерные исследования иммигрантов в Европе – популярное направление, изучающее в основном социально-экономическое положение мигранток, занимающих ниши «женского труда» в странах приема. Как правило, эти исследования рассматривают транснациональные женские миграции из неевропейских государств в страны Западной Европы. Сборник «Мигрантки с Востока на Запад: гендер, мобильность и чувство принадлежности в современной Европе» предлагает свежий взгляд и новаторский подход к проблеме женских миграций и фактически пересматривает само понятие «миграции» в свете новейших дискуссий.
