Abstract

В 2024 году в издательстве Принстонского университета вышла в свет новая книга Шейлы Фицпатрик «Lost Souls: Soviet Displaced Persons and the Birth of the Cold War» (Потерянные души: советские перемещенные лица и начало холодной войны). Имя автора монографии, почетного профессора Чикагского университета и одного из наиболее авторитетных советологов, хорошо известно в России не только профессиональным историкам, но также всем интересующимся историей сталинизма и повседневной жизнью в России в период правления Иосифа Сталина. В числе ее работ – «Повседневный сталинизм: социальная история Советской России в 30-е годы. Город» ([1999] 2001), «Русская революция» ([2008] 2018), «Команда Сталина: годы опасной жизни в советской политике» ([2015] 2021), «Белые русские – красная угроза» ([2021] 2023) и многие другие. Как можно заметить, исследования Фицпатрик отличает фокус на повседневной жизни свидетелей больших исторических событий, выходящий за пределы официальной истории, истории государств и институтов.
