Книга Джули А. Кэссидей «Russian Style» была опубликована в 2023 году. Кэссидей – профессор университета штата Висконсин, специалист по русскому языку, русской литературе и культуре. В предисловии Кэссидей поясняет, что идея этой книги возникла у нее в период, когда она писала свою работу о русской драматургии начала XIX века и пыталась понять, как драматурги того времени формировали гендерную идентичность своих персонажей (Cassiday 2012).
